I’m in a long-distance relationship. Recently my BF seriously discusses future marriage, but doesn’t propose yet. Is it appropriate to send a Mother’s Day e-card to his mom? Will I give her the impression that I cannot wait to become her daughter-in-law? Thanks in advance for any advice.

If anything, it’d be pretty sweet if you actually sent a real card in the mail to the mom. It depends though… How close are you to her? If she’s a complete stranger and you’ve never once talked to her, then yeah… I might go with an e-card
I think an email would be better. Maybe a note to thank her for raising a wonderful man, telling her that you are thinking of her today, etc…
You don’t want to go overboard.
An e-card via email should be okay if you already exchange emails with your future mother in law. She will be surprised but will really appreciate your efforts.
